Global PVC Additives Market Set to Grow to $7.29 Billion by 2032

The global polyvinyl chloride (PVC) additives market was valued at USD 6.54 billion in 2026 and is projected to grow from USD 6.88 billion in 2027 to USD 7.29 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of 5.97% over the forecast period, according to Mordor Intelligence. Additive demand is closely tied to PVC conversion activity, as PVC requires additives to control thermal degradation, impact resistance, processing efficiency and color stability.

By product type, stabilizers held the largest share of the PVC additives market in 2026 at 35.23% and are forecast to advance at a 6.61% CAGR through 2032. By form, powder captured 45.67% of market share in 2026, while liquid formats are projected to grow at a 6.45% CAGR. Extrusion accounted for 50.12% of the market, and pipes and fittings represented 36.86% of demand. Asia-Pacific led with a 43.71% share and is forecast to expand at a 6.63% CAGR, supported by infrastructure investment in PVC pipes, profiles and cable conduits.

Regulatory action on lead-based systems is reshaping purchasing decisions toward calcium-zinc, organotin and other compliant formulations. China’s Key Controlled New Pollutants List, effective July 1, 2025, bans tribasic lead sulfate and dibasic lead phosphite in rigid PVC profiles and water-supply pipes, while the EU restricts lead in PVC to below 0.1%, with a May 28, 2033 sunset date for recycled rigid PVC. Suppliers are responding with lead-free systems, dust-free liquid formats and formulations able to manage recycled feedstocks.
