PVC suspension resin prices moved higher across most Asian markets in late October 2026, with South Asian markets registering the sharpest gains, according to Polymerupdate. Rising upstream costs, production cuts, higher offers from overseas producers and elevated freight rates combined to tighten supply, while stronger Dalian Commodity Exchange futures and improved buying sentiment reinforced the upward trend.
In India, PVC suspension grade prices rose USD 50/MT week-on-week to USD 930–1,000/MT CFR, with Chinese producers offering at USD 930/MT and other overseas suppliers at USD 1,000/MT. Far East Asia prices moved up USD 30/MT to USD 810–870/MT CFR, Southeast Asia edged USD 10/MT higher to USD 830–860/MT CFR, and Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh all firmed by USD 30–40/MT to ranges between USD 920–970/MT CFR. Feedstock support strengthened, with ethylene assessed USD 30/MT higher at USD 1,195–1,205/MT CFR North East Asia, while VCM and EDC markets were broadly steady.
Trade and geopolitical factors added uncertainty. India’s DGTR recommended countervailing duties on PVC suspension imports from China, and the European Commission introduced registration requirements for PVC imports from China, South Korea, Mexico and Taiwan effective 27 October as part of its anti-dumping investigation. Industry sources cited shipping disruptions, delayed cargo arrivals and ongoing maintenance at some Chinese plants as constraining supply, while volatility in crude oil stemming from Middle East tensions heightened concerns over energy and feedstock costs for the near term.
